Lab Manager
A National Vision Lab Manager is key to the success of our retail locations. The Lab Manager is responsible for managing the operation of the lab to ensure quality and same day service standards are met. The ideal candidates are properly trained, lens inventory procedures are maintained, and equipment maintenance/repairs are performed. Ensuring our customers have the best experience is a priority. This experience is monitored and reviewed monthly through our innovative customer service rating system. 
The ideal candidates will posses:
·         Previous lab experience of 2 years in both finishing and surfacing preferred
·         Effective interpersonal skills
·         Ability to learn optical knowledge
·         Ability to stand for extended periods of time that may average 6-8 hours
·         Must be able to perform repairs on all lab equipment
·         Must be able to operate all lab equipment
·         Effective leadership skills
·         Must be able to provide clear, concise communication to upper management
·         Perform duties in such a manner as not to jeopardize the safety and health of themselves, fellow- associates, customers, the public, or the environment
·         Meet and/or exceed pre-established NVI goals
·         Listen and respond immediately with an appropriate level of concern to all customer issues
·         Identify additional training needs of lab employees in order to minimize breakage
·         Motivate employees to exceed on performance standards and recognize star performers
·         Conduct individual Performance Appraisals for all lab employees
·         Ensure that all company guidelines are followed for waste disposal
·         Assist the GM in controlling inventory shrinkage through the monitoring and recording of breakage and accurate and timely inventories and in recruitment of qualified personnel for the lab
·         Implement maintenance/repairs needed
